Zerodha vs TradeSmartOnline – Point by Point Comparison

We have a comparison between two giants of stock broking companies, Zerodha and Trade Smart Online.  Both of these companies are discount brokers and exchanges trade with BSE, NSE, MCX-SX, and MCX in Zerodha and Trade Smart Online exchanges with BSE, NSE, MCX, and NCDEX.

Both companies have fees for opening the trading account. It’s Rs. 300 in Zerodha nad Rs. 200 in Trade Smart Online.  Zerodha has less fees for opening a “Demat Account” which Rs. 150 as compared to Rs. 200. Every company has some brokerage charges but it is Nil for Zerodha. Trade Smart Online asks for Rs. 15.

Zerodha has “Equity “Intraday Charges” 0.01% or Rs. 20 per executed order while Trade Smart Online charges Rs. 15. These charges are same in “Currency Option Charges” and “Commodity Charges”. But if we will compare “Minimum Brokerage Charges” then Zerodha ask for nothing but Trade Smart Online charges us Rs. 15 for the same.  There are some Trading Platforms on which these companies run their business. Like its Zerodha Trader, Z5 and Zerodha PI for Zerodha which are much better than NEST and NOW. You can save lot money if you deal with Zerodha as their services are cheaper and better than Trade Smart Online.
