Zerodha is an online discount broker whereas Kotak Securities is a full service broker. Zerodha broker offers more services at minimalistic rates and is a newer broker in the market. The exchanges at which these brokers work are almost similar except for one or two that Kotak Securities offers additionally.

Kotak Securities charge Rs. 750 as the fee for opening a trading account. However, Zerodha charges only Rs. 300 for the same. However, the equity charges vary too much and are set too high for Kotak Securities. On the other hand, Zerodha gives all the equity features at reasonably low rates.
